I was just randomly re-reading Crevice by

"Now, Shadow's not the strongest man in the world, but he scoops the deeply sleeping Hiccup into his arms with worrying ease; marveling at how light the kid is as he settles him like a toddler on his hip, tucking in his skinny arms and letting his head rest limply against his shoulder.
"Shadow rests a cheek briefly against the top of the boy's hooded head and marvels at the feel of another human being, a child, in his arms, for him to protect and keep safe. A lump forms in his throat and he finds himself wondering if, when all this is over, Hiccup will want him around still..."

Aaaw!!! I just started that fic yesterday and I'm so in love with Shadow! at first I imagined his appearance like Otto Mann from the Simpons and dressed like Tuffnut LOL but since I see your fanart this is my new mental picture of him. You portrayed him so well, as the cinnamon roll he truly is :3 and I love his brothership with Hiccup, I dare say that I love their friendship as much as hicctooth, and that's a lot to say for an original character in a fanfic. He's just amazing!
